February 9, 2014, Week 44, making and delivering care bags to the homeless of Logan Square. 233 care bags have been made as of today.

Roger is still sleeping in between a couple of dumpsters behind a Popeye’s Chicken. Hes made a makeshiftshelter out of a wooden palette and some plastic. He liked the idea of me picking him up a small tarp and some rope to secure it. I wonder how long it will take before the management asks him to move on and find another place to sleep. Its hard for me to imagine him never going into a warming station or shelter because of his fear crowds. I hope he catches a break soon.

February 25, 2014, week 46 of making and delivering care bags to the homeless of Logan square, Chicago. As of today 244 care bags containing nutritious food items, toiletries and clothing have been delivered.

Care-bags.org is up and running but needs a lot of work. My goal is to have this completed before I reach the one year mark of making these care bags. I also have a couple HD, waterproof and shockproof digital camcorders on the way to give to some of the homeless for a 24-48 hour period so they can record whatever they want to share. Nathan and I will then edit this footage along with footage we gather to share a more In depth experience…have a great day everyone! Thanks as always for the support!

Im excited to get the new HD camcorders I ordered and give out to a few homeless on a regular basis, in 24 or 48 hour intervals. I hoping they will be willing and open to capture moments of their lives that we take for granted and help educate on what they go through.

When I saw Michael, he told me how much pain he has from a wisdom tooth coming in and actually cracking a molar. He told me he has been suffering migraines and extreme pain under his chin up the left side of his face. Dental problems are so painful and I cant imagine what resources he has to remedy this. He is going to try a local dental school to get inexpensive care and I hope he goes soon.
